The second in a summer series of special colourways for the OG Puma RS-0, sees the concept of sound at the forefront. Hot off the heels of its gaming ‘Play’ collection, this time we see the influential concept of music given the spotlight in the form of the Puma RS-0 Sound, with colour pops and silhouettes that echo remixing, sampling and the bold fashion trends of the 80s.
A shoe very much influenced by the heyday of the past with a clearly defined future forward structure, the RS-0 embodies all that comes with nostalgia and newness bundled into one. The 80s running system remains in place and continues to be incredibly comfortable, while the sleek exterior of the shoe including the lacing system and colour blocked inserts give it a futuristic edge.
As such, STOA wore 2 key colour ways from the sound collection to Eastern Electrics this weekend, a suitably relevant environment for the shoes featured. J wore the blue and red colourway, while C rocked the hot pink versions. Both colourways stood out among the many other sneakers worn that day, with consistent comments including “what are those (in a good way) and where can we get them?!”.
With the next cultural concept in line for the RS-0 being Photography, we eagerly await on what Puma has in store next.
